The Genera Consultancy has been built around the knowledge and expertise of Jan Kuśmirek a Medical Herbalist and Clinical Aromatherapist.
In the early eighties he teamed up with Alban Muller now President of the French Cosmetic valley association to change the face of the Natural Products and Cosmetics Industry. He was always keen to blend science and nature and has directed his energy into 'Green Intelligence'.
His first UK brand development was Origins now owned by Estee Lauder and his second was Elemis the primary UK spa brand. His third was Aromatherapeutics incorporating the About series and Osciem, still all under his auspices.
Coming from an early applied engineering and physics background rather than chemistry he brought a refreshing view to the concept of natural cosmetics.
Organic farming and sustainability is his passion and this is reflected in his commercial work. Past Marketing Manager for the Soil Association his contacts with growers and knowledge of the potential of the market is extensive.
Latterly he has become well known for his creative perfumery especially using naturals. His work can be found in many brands.
